South Heartland District Health Department Launches CredibleMind Mental Wellbeing Platform

August 28, 2026

Hastings, Nebraska – South Heartland District Health Department (SHDHD) is pleased to announce the launch of CredibleMind, a new online mental wellbeing platform that provides residents of Adams, Clay, Nuckolls, and Webster counties with free, confidential, 24/7 access to personalized, evidence-based mental health resources, selfcare tools, and local support services.

“Mental health is just as important as physical health,” said Chris Junker, SHDHD’s Risk Reduction Program Coordinator. “CredibleMind provides our communities with free, confidential access to trusted resources and tools that empower individuals to take charge of their wellbeing whenever and wherever they need support.”

CredibleMind is designed to help individuals find reliable information and support tailored to their unique needs and preferences. Platform features include:

     • Access to more than 10,000 self-care and mental wellbeing resources covering more than 100 topics,                        including anxiety, depression, grief, parenting, relationships, stress, substance use, and more.

     • Mental health assessments that help users better understand their emotional wellbeing.

     • Personalized content that adapts to individual needs, interests, and learning styles.

     • Connections to local mental health and wellness resources.

Founded in 2018 by Deryk Van Brunt and Marcos Athanasoulis, CredibleMind offers a comprehensive, populationbased mental health ecosystem that includes analytics and reporting on community needs, service utilization, and outcomes. Focused on prevention and early intervention, the platform provides thousands of evidence-based, science-backed resources designed to help individuals improve their overall wellbeing and build resilience through self-directed care.

Health director Michele Bever noted that with SHDHD’s launch of CredibleMind, their department would be joining 14 other local health departments and two tribes in Nebraska in providing residents with free access to trusted mental health and wellbeing resources. “This growing statewide network reflects a shared commitment to improving mental health, promoting resilience, and increasing access to support for all Nebraskans,” she said.

Residents can access CredibleMind beginning September 1 at https://shdhd.crediblemind.com.
